License
How the Bonafide specification and code are licensed.
Bonafide is open. Here's what that means in practice.
The specification text: CC-BY-4.0
The text of the specification (everything in spec/, and the README) is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license. You can copy, share, and adapt it, including commercially, as long as you credit the source and note any changes you made. Read LICENSE-DOCS →
Code and schemas: Apache-2.0 Any code or machine-readable schemas in the specification repository are licensed under Apache-2.0. You can use, modify, and distribute them, including in commercial products. The license includes an express patent grant and asks you to keep license and attribution notices. Read LICENSE →
Trademarks Neither license gives you rights to the Bonafide name or logo. Bonafide Technologies Inc. holds the trademark today and intends to transfer its stewardship to the Bonafide Foundation.
This page is a plain summary. The license texts are the authoritative version.
